This work, done by Aleta Pippin, is very similar to a much higher level form of what we are working on in class with out non objective monoprints, with its focus on color and expression over form. I particularly like these pieces because they incorporate strong gradients that I tried to create in my work on a much larger scale. The mixutre of color here is very well done, not being too boring while also not becoming muddled with too much area of transition on the picture plane. I also particularly like the dark lines that help to fill the space on the canvas without detracting from the focus on color.
